This 11 x 17” map depicts roads and settlements around 1779 when Nacogdoches became a permanent part of East Texas. This map was developed to support and illustrate my book, Bridles & Biscuits: The Contraband Culture of Spanish East Texas. That book will be published by Texas A&M University Press in 2024.
